Thermo-Electronics group

History of the group

The thermo electronics research group is part of the ELIS department. It started around 1980 as a group working on CAD of electronics, more specifically hybrid circuits. From the beginning numerical simulation was an important tool, and attention was focussed on the BEM. Thermal analysis quickly became a major topic, and the research group was named after it. More recently some members of the group started research in the biomedical field. Short studies about high efficiency convective cooling in electronics were done by former members of our group. This topic has to be attacked thoroughly in the future
