Donath's placement process and extensions

The use of generating polynomials for the representation of interconnection length distributions
The generation of synthetic benchmarks for partitioning and placement
The MARCO GSRC Technology Extrapolation System GTX (at UCLA)
The wiring layer assignment problem in routing (and a priori estimates)
Interconnect-related studies in hardware design
Study of reconfigurable architectures for embedded systems running scaleable real-time multimedia applications
