Other information

Gravensteen The city of Gent has a lot of historical buildings and museums. Therefore, it's quite touristic and some hotels may be fully booked. Please remember to book your hotel on time.

Listed below, there are a number of hotels in the direct neighborhood of the workshop location and some budget hotels a bit further down.

What:	No impressive entrance and no red carpet. The simple front of the "Oude Houtlei" reveals no signs of the old, modest convent: PoortAckere. "An island, lost in the whirlpool of a tumultuous city". Once you have passed the gates, you enter an intimate nunnery, of which the history goes back to the year 1278. What has been a hidden cloister for centuries, is now revealing its secrets. The atmosphere is charming, which fits in the simplicity of a Neo-Gothic building. Where:	Centrally located close to Saint Jacobs under the cathedral towers.
How much:	Starting from 33 euro/1p, 38 euro/2p, breakfast included. With a separate bathroom 41 euro/1p, 48 euro/2p.
What:	This central hotel has 32 rooms available. Breakfast is included in the price. Each room has a TV and telephone. Pets are also welcome in this quiet, family-run hotel.

Formule 1

Where:	Situated along the motorway (Afrikalaan).
How much:	€ 33.00 per room per night (max. 3 people). Breakfast: € 4.40/person.
What:	You'll be staying in one of 124 rooms each with a TV. The hotel is open 24 hours a day. As it's quite a way out from the centre, you can only get to it using public transport (bus 60) from the Dampoort Station. Don't expect any particular charm, but you'll get a decent bed for the night at an affordable price. Breakfast is not included in the price. The hotel is also easily accessible for the disabled, with easy wheelchair access. It's probably better to book a room in advance.

Where:	Close to the Sint-Pietersstation. Tram to the workshop every 15 min.

What:	Hotel ADOMA is located at 500 meters from the Sint-Pieters railway station and nearby other points of interest including the Expo, several museums and the university. There is easy access to the main roads surrounding Ghent. Across the hotel, a tram stops that takes you right through the city. Car parking facilities are free.
