Prof. Koen De Bosschere was elected in June 2007 as the only European member of the SIGPLAN executive committee for a period of 2 years. SIGPLAN (Special Interest Group on Progragramming LANguages) is the association for the researchers of program languages. SIGPLAN is a part of ACM, world-wide the most important professional association.
