Dirk Stroobandt program committee chair of largest Dutch ICT conference

On Monday 14 and Tuesday 15 November the largest ICT conference in the Netherlands will take place in Veldhoven (near Eindhoven). Chairman of the program committee is Prof. Dirk Stroobandt of ELIS.

ICT.Open is a collaboration between SIREN (organised by IPN/NWO), STW.ICT (organised by STW) and the yearly gatherings of Dutch research schools ASCI, IPA and SIKS. Even though the subtitle of the conference is "The interface for Dutch ICT-Research", this conference welcomes contributions from the Benelux, north of France and west of Germany. Informatics and ICT researchers will present their work through posters and there are also important invited speakers and a limited number of presentations selected from the poster contributions. This is the ideal environment for young researchers and their supervisors to network and learn about each others work within the Benelux region.

The themes in ICT.Open are 'Electronic Circuits and Systems', 'Micro technology and sensor devices', 'embedded systems', 'security and privacy', 'data intensive computing', 'intelligent systrems' and 'complex interactive systems'.
